JAMES DONALDSON TIMBER TAKES 110,000 SQ FT AT BOTANY BAY BUSINESS PARK

FI REAL ESTATE MANAGEMENT (FIREM) HAS ANNOUNCED THAT JAMES DONALDSON TIMBER WILL TAKE 110,000 SQ FT OF INDUSTRIAL SPACE AT BOTANY BAY BUSINESS PARK, CHORLEY.

The manufacturer of structural timber components has signed a lease for Unit F&G at the £220m business park. FIREM also has a further three tenants in the final legal stages for properties within Blocks C&D, as the current phase of the development reaches 45% occupancy before any units have achieved practical completion.

FIREM is currently constructing phase one of the 1 million sq. ft development, known as Botany Bay Business Park. The development will provide predominantly Grade A industrial accommodation and a strong retail offering once fully complete. The first units within phase one will be available for occupation in May this year, which include trade counter style industrial units and Unit E, a 158,000 sq. ft warehouse that is ideally located for national distribution being situated next to the M61 and close to the M6 and M65 Motorways.

The move for James Donaldson Timber means that the company is able to retain jobs in Chorley, after working with FIREM to custom build their unit.
